The Papers, of which these are Musters, are manufactured in large quantities at Hoochow, Hankow, and other towns in the neighbouring provinces. I think this assortment will be found to comprise nearly all the kinds manufactured in the northern provinces. The quotations attached are those of the day, but of course they vary according to the supply. Shanghae exports Paper largely to Tien-tsin, and others of the more northern ports. Hankow, from the easy access we now have to it, is sending down very large quantities.
